Beloved sweaters made new - Mended & Adorned
I see mending as an act of respect and care for each other, for the garments and textiles that comfort and clothe us, and for the planet. Starting with my own well-loved sweaters and hoodies that no longer fit but have many years of service left, I am darning moth holes and sewing up ripped underarms, patching damage caused by washing machines, and adding special adornments beyond what is needed so that these may find a special place in your heart as well as your closet. Standard shipping within the US is included in the pricing.
Currently, I have a limited range of items as I work through my own stash of well-loved clothing, but please check back as I expand this area of my work, as I intend to provide a wider range of sizes and styles in the future.

Sunrise to Sunrise Forest Sweater (Unisex Small)
100% merino wool
This is a beautiful wool sweater in a mossy olive/forest green, with thin horizontal stripes in alternating gold and cream and a V-neck. Three moth holes on the front chest, left sleeve, and back shoulder have been mended with a golden-tan cashmere thread in a sunburst pattern, connected/surrounded by a trail of sparkling French knots (a skilled embroidery technique) like glowing fireflies or stars. The sweater has no other signs of significant wear, though I have loved and worn it many times. As a knitted garment, it has a little natural stretch, and according to my measurements it can accommodate a 38"-42" chest, 36"-40" waist, 22"-24" neck, and 12" bicep/8" wrist. This depends on your fit preferences, so please measure yourself or a sweater that fits you well, or email us if you have additional questions about fit.
We recommend washing in cool water by hand/on a delicate setting with mild soap, and air-drying flat or on a line. This will extend the life of your beloved clothes!
