Beloved Jeans Made New - Mended & Adorned
I see mending as an act of respect and care for each other, for the garments and textiles that comfort and clothe us, and for the planet. Starting with my own well-loved jeans that no longer fit but have many years of service left, I am replacing torn belt loops, patching knees and ventilated pockets, and stitching decorative reinforcements over busted seats and thighs. USPS First Class shipping within the US is included in the pricing.

Blue Jay Levis (33" x 29")
99% cotton, 1% elastane
Label says 34" x 30", but after many washes and wears they have shrunk a bit to the listed size, and don't have much stretch but are extremely comfortable and broken-in. Works for hips about 40"-42" depending on your fit preferences, with a tapered leg. These have machine-reinforced gray denim patches over the entire seat; hand-stitched gray stretch velvet patches on the back right pocket and right knee; and a hand-stitched belt loop replacement made of shiny silver recycled leather. I also hand-repaired the Levis tag, both because I enjoy the tag as a bit of ephemera, and also so it doesn't get caught in your belt.
We recommend washing in cool water by hand/on a delicate setting with mild soap, and air-drying flat or on a line. This will extend the life of your beloved clothes!

Red-Winged Blackbird Jeans (33/34" x 32")
100% black cotton denim
This is a great pair of all-cotton jeans (Urban Pipeline) that have been broken in perfectly. They're a soft, lighter weight material, with a relaxed fit and a straight leg. They are labeled as a 33" waist, but measure closer to a 34"/35", depending on how you like your jeans to fit. These have a 32" inseam and accommodate hips in the 40-44" range. These are mended entirely by hand with beautiful striped cotton patches on the inner thighs and right pocket, a cobalt blue scrap leather belt loop in the center back, and a bit of stitching to reinforce a worn area of the seat.
