These small works of textile art are designed by D. using fabric scraps from their studio, including pieces of special clothing, remainders from larger projects, and snippets saved from the wastebin. Scraps of cotton batting are then stitched together to fit each quilt top, backed with fabric that complements the quilt's design, then hand quilted, bound, and finished on the back with an embroidered signature, date, location, and fabric hanging loops. No frame required! Just slip the loops over two nails, screws, or hooks, and enjoy.

BLOOM BOOM: approx. 18" x 18" square. Cotton, silk, linen, and rayon are machine-pieced, then quilted by hand in a subtle grid pattern, with hand-appliquéd golden petals and hand-stitched turquoise binding. This piece evokes the energy of the sun and the vibrant florals of an untamed summer garden. The reverse is signed and dated, with fabric loops in each top corner for easy hanging.
